Roll back Review state

It would be useful to be able to roll back a Review state to a previous point in time. We have had a few times where mass deletions and/or re-sorting of items can take quite a while to fix by hand.

Thanks for the request!  Just to clarify: By "state of the review" you specifically mean the contents of the shot item list (playlist), the sort order – the stuff that is tedious to reset.
But not the state of the items themselves (comments and sketches), right?  What about approval status, renamed uploads, reset thumbnails?
Also not the more ephemeral characteristics of the review, like audio muting, zoom level, whether tracing paper is turned on, or the playback speed. 
Anything else?  Brush tip settings?  Colors? Link sharing settings?

Mike Jennings: That's a great question. I am specifically talking about the item list and the sort order in this case.
For more context:
We had a a review with several hundred items that took a long time to set up. Then in a well-meaning accident, someone removed a bunch of items and re-sorted them. It took a while for the team to rebuild the review back to its original state.
