We do reviews with several people and often a hundred or more scenes at a time. It would be super helpful to have the ability to draw simultaneously. As one person is making a drawover note, another could be correcting something else thereby speeding up our process. This was the only thing I liked about Cinesync.
Revise J / K / L Functionality
Currently, when pressing L, the playhead increases the speed, which is great! But upon pressing J, the playhead slows down rather than reverses direction. It would be ideal if it would reverse and subsequent presses of J would increase the speed in which it plays in reverse. K would pause & PLAY, then revert speed to 100%. It's great to have the option to play in slow-mo but maybe that could be a separate key (J + modifier key) so the JKL function the same as some other players; Cinesync, Quicktime, etc.
Syncing Notes to Shotgun
When Syncing Notes to Shotgun, it would be helpful to be able to choose to sync each comment from sync Sketch back to Shotgun as a a separate note record (instead of collecting all comments into one note record) as well as a way to sync to the frame number for that comment to a field on the note record in Shotgun. We have use case for reviewing a single lineup/file in Sync Sketch. Having frame numbers and discrete notes records in Shotgun could help us link each note to other appropriate records (like corresponding scenes or versions that created that one lineup file).
Set Frame as Thumbnail is not working
The system says the thumbnail has been updated but it's never displayed.
Custom Approval Statuses
Allow Custom Approval Statuses beyond Approved/Reviewed/In Progress/On Hold... just being able to pick a custom status color would be very helpful to denote specific things in our pipeline.
Better organization within a playlist
It would be great to group media within a playlist. Like if we had a bunch of items in a playlist could we collect them into little bundles/groups. I know you can create review groups but are looking for organizational tools/options within the playlist.
Display the name of the item in full screen
When reviewing full screen, we could toggle the display of the current item's name. When reviewing different versions, that would be extremely useful.
Return to Better Copy/Paste Abilities
In the previous version, you could paint a canvas white and then paste a drawing on it. Now you can no longer paste over a white painted canvas. It automatically pastes a transparent drawing. In the past, you could also copy/paste from different clips/windows, now you only copy/paste within the same clip. Please return the copy/paste drawing features to the previous, better functionality.
